Tracking information from Select Comfort. Anybody else have problems with shipping with your sleep number bed
We ordered it on April 27th. On the Thank You Welcome To Select Comfort packet we recieved, it said you would be able to get tracking information within 4 days of purchase. That we would have it within 14 days. It's been 8 days and all Customer Care can tell me is, " it's sitting on the dock in South Carolina waiting to be picked up by UPS." This is the answer they have given me since Thursday. Call me impatient, I don't care.We have already put a thousand dollar down payment on this four thousand dollar bed, and I just want to know when to expect it.And ofcourse my husband is driving me batty with complaints about his back hurting. Because we ditched our old mattress the day we bought our sleep number, and pumped up an $80 air mattress to tie us over. The salesman told us that most people get their beds within 3 to 4 days of placing their order. Tops would be 14 days. I told the Customer Care people that and ofcourse the story the tell that never happens, and it usually takes 7 to 14 business days. Grrr... Their website and the documentation we got with this bed doesn't say anything about working days.So my question is, Is this a normal song and dance with Select Comfort? Have you been told one thing by the salespeople in regards to shipping and not get the same answer from Customer Care?We even asked if we could pay extra for them to ship it faster, but nope that's not an option. We probably wouldn't be so aggravated if we had been honestly told it would take 14 business days.
Buying a new Mattress: Does anyone have a Select Comfort/Sleep Number Bed? See additional details please.?
My husband has been complaining of his back bothering him in the morning. I think our mattress is fine. We went to look at matresses over the holiday break. I like a firm bed and he likes a little softer bed...seems to contour to his back better. We narrowed our search after we tried a top of the line conventional Simmons bed and the Sleep Number bed. We both were happy at different number settings. 40 and 60 I looked online at opinion websites and am here nor there about this bed. Does anyone have positive or negative comments about the bed matress set up from experience? ...any troubles with the compressor or bed materials? We are considering the ....5000 and 7000 series beds the two below the top bed model. Any serious comments will be appreciated and considered for the top answer picked by me the asker.......thank you in advance for your reply Hi gy650.....I just wanted to get more ideas from anyone here on Answers with a serious thought or expereince with the sleep number system....We are set on it for many reasons....but I'm thinking of future problems maybe experienced by others here that can be candid with ME I will look at your suggested site...Thanks....
Question about a sleep number select comfort bed?
I got rid of my waterbed bladder a few years ago and just stuck an old coil spring mattress in the waterbed frame. Now that is hurting my back so I'm thinking about just buying the 2 air chambers and the pump and putting them in the same frame. Will this work? I know I'm missing a bunch of foam pieces and select comforts actual full bed kinda has a different base. But overall what do you think or has anyone else tried it?
